They provide packs, gloves, poles, and gaiters if you need them for trekking. They even clean your hiking boots at the end of the day. Mine looked brand new. They pay attention to every detail and your every wish is anticipated. The food is delicious. I recommend requesting the Ugandan traditional food at least one night. The staff are so friendly and kind. Alan and Darin were so much fun. Besides being such attentive staff, they were so much fun to chat with. I could not imagine a better place as your base for gorilla trekking. I can’t wait to visit again.

I returned from Uganda earlier this week, and my experience could... read more not have been better. First hats off to Ellis, of Wild Frontiers. A true gentleman with the kindest of souls. And at the hotel Richard in the dining area was always great.

The rooms are designed to give one a feel of being in a tree house. The staff was attentive, and made sure all of the guests had everything they needed for the Gorilla Trekking. The hotel provided ponchos and gators, if needed, and cleaned our shoes after our time in the forest. Needless to say, trekking in to see the Silverback Gorillas has been the highlight of life, after the birth of my children.

The food was fantastic, and especially the soups. First class all the way.

Take note that you are in a rain forest and it rained every day that I was there, usually in the early afternoon and then again in the early evening. I would also recommend that you carve out a few hours to go the Batwa Empowerment Village. Spending time with these indigenous people and learning a little of their culture will completely round out your experience. Thanks to all!
